It is Monday, and unlike every Monday in Seattle before it, I am off to meet World Class Bartender Extraordinaire, Jeremiah Harrison, at a bar that is not his.
Miranda, Do you have any information on where Jeremiah is tending bar? We were part of his Tuesday crew and lost track of him. We would much rather follow him than stay at the "stinbar".
"Two thousand years ago the proudest boast was 'civis Romanus sum'. Today, in the world of freedom, the proudest boast is 'Ich bin ein Berliner.'" --JFK, June 26, 1963, Berlin.
It was a stenographers mistake, by not capitalizing the word 'berlin', that leads the translation to be 'I am a jelly doughnut' rather than 'I am one with the citizens of Berlin'. As I'm so fond of saying, I'm a writer, not a stenographer.
